EU Clusters Talks: Clusters policies and networks: Outcomes of the Expert Group on Clusters

The European Expert Group on Clusters has provided recommendations, advice, and expertise to the European Commission, Member States, and regions on how to better use clusters as a strategic tool of industrial policy, interregional collaboration and for integrating SMEs into EU and global value chains. The group has identified and shared best practices examples of modern cluster policy and development at national and regional level that have boosted industrial modernisation, entrepreneurship, and the competitiveness of European businesses, notably SMEs. Furthermore, the experts in this group have provided input and guidance for the preparation and implementation of the next generation of EU cluster initiatives. Its mandate lasts until 31 December 2022.

In this context, the European Cluster Collaboration Platform, on behalf of the European Commission, DG GROW, organises the EU Clusters Talk “Cluster policies and networks: Outcomes of the Expert Group on Clusters” on 14 December 2022, 8:30 – 9:30 CET, to discuss the development of national cluster policies, differences in the European Union, the importance of cluster policies for cluster managers, and their implementation through cluster networks.

This event is part of bi-weekly online meetings brought to the cluster community by the European Cluster Collaboration Platform. They offer up-to-date insights into the latest industrial policies and clusters’ involvement, projects, and best practices, the latest ECCP news, and funding opportunities. Prior registration to this event is compulsory before 14 December, 7:30 CEST. This EU Clusters Talk is open to participants from the European Union and SMP/COSME countries. Approval for attending the session will be given individually. Please use your corporate email address to register (i.e. no gmail addresses or similar).
